Do you use Hotmail?

According to the Wall Street Journal (June 5), Microsoft is going to release a new version of hotmail that they hope will become more popular than the old version.  Microsoft wants to compete with gmail and Mac mail addresses.  Getting people to change their primary e-mail account may be more difficult than the marketers think.

  1. I don't use hotmail, left them a long time ago. I use Gmail, much more efficient and easy. Not much spam or annoying ads either. They are great with communication and everything is only like a click away with reader, calendar, and everything else. They can compete but they won't get me.

  2. I switched from Hotmail to Gmail many years ago, and could be convinced to switch again. However, the functionality and usability must be significantly better for me to do so, and I very much doubt that Microsoft has what it takes to do a better job than Google.
